Does this guy shut up..?
So… In case you couldn’t tell. I am the “organic guy” oh haha I know its so laughable. WholeFoods is only worth 10 billion doll hairs or something. Guess us “organic people” are just hippie weirdos…
I get a little angry because in 2014 there was no “Organic Isle”
Back in the day, I was still an organic freak. My parents are from California in the 80s. My mom took me to whole food stores all the way back. They had been on my radar.
So fast forward, im in middle school. Bro I got chubby. I hated it. I proceeded to grow over 1′ but the in between was awkward.
I offer this as an explanation. The rest of the article I actually made a list of things I personally avoid. This is a personal issue to me. I just want to share because I finially found a name for the way I have been living since all the way back in school. When things started to go sideways for me I found this pattern and ive stuck with it… AND NOW… haha you get to share the misery of seeing the list of crap I avoid every single day.
Broken natural ratios, Motified foods/ cosmetics. Why? What is the benefit?
I just have this idea. It’s so simple. If you need to consume, or use, or breath, or wear, or do anything at all. Why start by removing yourself from our history?
Our bodies have taken thousands of years to become who they are. That entire time they have faced turmoil. They have faught and clawed for thier place here. Against bigger animals, ones with poision. Lack of food. Changing environmental conditions.
All those struggles and we did it. We won. Humans have domain over Earth!
Our bodies are products of this, literally war that has been spirling. Its built thies strong facilites to handle all obstacles. It can handle dirt, raw pathogen exposure, uv radiation exposure.
We starve natural facilites with man made modifications
Instead of rolling the dice on botculism. We use a bunch of different chemicals. This is wonderful, is calculated and we know that people will not get sick if they eat pickles treated with “potassium benzate”.
The thing is, most people wouldn’t have gotten sick from the pickles without the preservative chemical. It was added for “saftey”. In an economy where people will sue you for serving hot coffee…
The list of things I believe do not cross the “risk reward” ratio for me personally:
I had ai help format it. I want to paste the original list I made. The accordian is an LLMs version of my input. My input is in quotes below the accordian.
Food and Cooking
Partially Hydrogenated Fats and Trans Fats
Natural oils chemically altered to change their physical properties and stability.
Highly Refined Vegetable and Seed Oils
Oils separated from the original seed or fruit matrix, often through crushing, solvent extraction, degumming, neutralization, bleaching, deodorization, and other refining steps.
Repeatedly Heated or Degraded Cooking Oils
Oils whose original fatty-acid mixture has undergone oxidation, polymerization, and the formation of degradation products through repeated high-temperature use.
Isolated Sugars and Concentrated Sweeteners
Sugar removed from the fiber, water, micronutrients, and physical structure of the plant in which it originally occurred.
Refined Starches
Starch isolated from grain, corn, potato, tapioca, or other plants while much of the original protein, fiber, oils, and micronutrient matrix is removed.
Protein Isolates and Concentrates
Plant or animal material fractionated until protein exists at concentrations and ratios very different from the original food.
Artificial Colors
Added primarily to create an appearance that the underlying food would not otherwise possess.
Artificial and Highly Concentrated Flavor Systems
Selected aroma and flavor compounds used at ratios unlike those occurring in the source food.
Emulsifiers, Stabilizers, Thickeners, and Texture Modifiers
Substances used to create physical properties that the original ingredients would not naturally maintain.
Highly Formulated Ultra-Processed Foods
Products assembled largely from isolated fats, starches, proteins, sugars, flavors, colors, emulsifiers, and other fractions rather than intact biological ingredients.
Food-Contact Materials
Microplastics and Plastic Fragments
Synthetic polymers fragmented into microscopic particles that can occur in air, water, food, and beverages and become an unintended human exposure.
Chemicals Migrating From Food Packaging and Containers
Plasticizers, stabilizers, monomers, coatings, inks, adhesives, and other food-contact chemicals may migrate from manufactured materials into food.
Degradation Products From Heated or Aged Plastics
Polymer materials altered further by heat, ultraviolet light, abrasion, oxidation, or repeated use.
Air and Household Exposure
Synthetic Fragrances and Fragrance Mixtures
Concentrated mixtures of volatile compounds intentionally released into indoor air primarily for scent.
Volatile Compounds From Cleaners and Household Products
Cleaning products and household materials can release volatile and semi-volatile compounds into indoor air.
Aerosolized Cleaners, Sprays, and Surface Treatments
Liquids intentionally converted into fine droplets or particles, creating an inhalation route that does not exist while the material remains in bulk liquid form.
Fine Synthetic and Mineral Dusts
Materials that become more biologically accessible when cutting, grinding, sanding, manufacturing, or wear converts them into respirable particles.
Combustion and Thermal-Decomposition Products
New chemical mixtures formed when plastics, oils, coatings, fuels, or other manufactured materials are burned or overheated.
Concentrated and Fractionated Materials
Refined and Concentrated Metals
Metals purified from dilute ores into highly concentrated forms and subsequently converted into powders, fumes, oxides, filings, or machining dust.
Metal Oxides and Ultrafine Metallic Particles
Forms created through welding, grinding, combustion, manufacturing, or deliberate production that may behave differently from the same element dispersed through rock and soil.
Concentrated Mineral Powders
Silica, talc, pigments, fillers, and similar minerals reduced to particle sizes capable of becoming airborne.
Industrial Nanoparticles and Ultrafine Particles
Materials manufactured at dimensions where surface area and chemical behavior can differ substantially from the bulk substance.
Agriculture and the Food Chain
Highly Concentrated Synthetic Nutrient Inputs
Individual plant nutrients supplied at concentrations and ratios substantially different from their diffuse occurrence in soils and decomposing biological matter.
Persistent Contaminants Introduced Through Fertilizers, Manure, or Biosolids
Heavy metals, pharmaceutical residues, antibiotic residues, and other compounds can enter agricultural soils as unintended components of otherwise useful soil amendments.
Animal Feeds Substantially Removed From the Species’ Typical Diet
Highly formulated feed systems may alter the relative fatty-acid and nutrient composition of resulting animal products.
My list: LOL its rough, thats why I used the robot!
Dyes
Fragrances
Surfactants
Petroleum based anything
Diatomic dust
Inorganic dust
Concentrated atomic elements
Side note:
Fertilizers containing cobalt/ radiation
Fertilizers containing pharmaceutical metabolites
Fertilizers containing animal DNA
Heavy metals and thier oxides
Hydrogenated oils
Motified oils
Solvent extracted oils
Homonoginized milk products
Corn/soy based additives
Pork by basis of DNA similarly
Animals fed diets contradictory to natural behavior
Piron precautions around red meat
Nutritional content of factory produced raw foods
Metabolic/ enzemic load created by hundred ingredient itemsAdded after the fact: RF exposure, pharmaceuticals.
Remember people, I live on wifi and take benadryl like the rest of us. I just first usually ask “can I get threw without it”.
Conclusion:
I’m annoying and spend way too much time in the grocery store! Haha. Idk, I just wanted to share. I’ve been battling some laundry detergent that I swear is making me itchy. OK TMI. Its ok haha go outside!
