Art, you know most artists historically had to eat rice and beans…

5AM Saturday morning. I struggle to type this from my TV box. With the logi wireless keyboard. It works OK but it flexes like a freaking piece of cardboard on my lap. There is also no wrist support. Ill stop before this turns into a .

That is what it is. A ramble. I spent all morning trying to find videos and channels to subscribe too.

It is a lot of work this there are central search indexes but many I hate to say do not have the niche videos or content you can expect from the mainstream sources.

One thing is fo sho. People know the old ones are done. The wording is always the same. They isolate and fail the people who made them successful..

The other thing that is clear to me at this point is the Fediverse does seem a lot more like the old internet. If you want something it is going to take a minute to find, it might not be there at all, and this is the best part… It alludes to the idea you could make one. Because there are not 5000 people with 10,000,000 subs and a production budget.

There are just scattered instances. Run by people going that extra mile to own their content. For me that kind of is the payment. If no one sees it at least its mine! Its “my blog” in the truest way I can technologically achieve.

It creates this situation of “barriers to entry” as they would say in business class. Critical thinking is required to even know it exists!

This is important for me to say here. I do not think specifically the Fediverse really is itself special. Its the ideas behind it. As they would likely say.

It is a good system but its the idea. That you can have a server, so can you, that one can ban you but that one likes you. Some of them are like 20 years old! I have found some that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

That is creativity. When many people are allowed to participate and share, create, get feedback. That is to me one of the most beautiful things! If not just because I selfishly enjoy it myself!

I wanted to write this to say to anyone and myself. Its OK if you find empty tags, that’s natural. Fill them! Who am I to say this? But just another person who tries to find salvation in information/ fellow earthlings perspectives!

Art, to me, should have a separation of author and subject, there is an “Author” but the nature of art is the author should always be secondary to the work! For is the work not simply the job of an artist! No person should expect their works to be of “value” simply because it was made under their name! I believe no one with respect for any art or science would enjoy the idea their work is good simply because they were the one to do it! What a burden that would be and what a field would even require such a specific skill set that only this 1 person or group can do it. That is not art or work or science but !

I fancy myself an Author and even an Artist from time to time. But I never like to call myself those things. Because I like my work to come specifically from the angle of not those things. I want my work to speak for itself and not need an introduction as they say.

But maybe this is all just my
