Ah, Sodium Borate, the wonder chemical of 19 something something. A single ingredient product is always refreshing!
It is essentially Ant biological warfare. They do not say it on the box but it does work. It needs to be mixed with Sugar. They collect it and bring it back to the colony where it hardens and kills them? Im not even sure how. It drys into a sticky goop type substance in the dish.

It is a natural simple mineral found in “dry lake beds” according to google.
